Mumbai police issued advisory before Holi!

Mumbai police has issued a strict advisory for holi, Holika Dahan and other holi related programs. These advisories will be in force from 12 to 18 march 2025. Precautions have been taken keeping in mind the month of Ramzan.

Obscene words or slogans should not be uttered publicly or obscene songs should not be played

Display or promotion of gestures, mimicry, pictures, signs, posters or anything that hurts anyone's reputation, decency or morality.

Action will be taken for throwing or sprinkling colored water, color or powder on passersby.

Making or throwing balloons filled with colored or normal water is prohibited.

Action will also be taken against those who forcibly collect donations in the name of holi and Rangpanchami.

Let us tell you that march 14, the day holi festival will be celebrated across the country, is Friday. During Ramzan, friday i.e. friday prayers are special for Muslims. people come out of their homes to offer prayers and mosques are crowded. On the other hand, on the day of holi, Hindus come out of their homes and celebrate holi with friends and relatives in their respective streets.

Statements are also being made about holi and friday prayers. Raghuraj Singh, chairman of the high-level advisory committee of the Ministry of Labor and Employment of Uttar Pradesh and equivalent to a minister of state, even said that to avoid any inconvenience, Muslim men should go out wearing 'hijab made of tarpaulin'. The bjp leader's controversial statement comes days after a circle officer in sambhal had said that those who feel uncomfortable with holi colours should stay indoors as the festival comes only once a year, while Jumma ki namaz is held 52 times a year. Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath had supported the sambhal police officer's remarks, saying that though the officer spoke as a wrestler, what the arjuna awardee said was correct.
