Attack with iron rod in Amritsar's golden temple, 5 devotees injured!

An attack took place in the golden temple complex in amritsar on Friday. A total of five people, including three devotees and two sevadars, were injured in the attack. The condition of one devotee and one sevadar is said to be critical. According to the information, an unknown person attacked five people with an iron rod and injured them. The attacker has been caught along with his accomplice.

According to the Times of india report, the incident took place at 12 noon. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) said that the attacker entered Sri Guru Ramdas Niwas and attacked the sevadars and devotees with a rod. After the attack, there was chaos. Devotees from Mohali, Bhatinda and patiala along with two sevadars were injured.

Attack on devotees in Golden Temple

SGPC Secretary Pratap Singh said that the injured were immediately taken to Guru Ramdas Hospital. One sevadar and one devotee from Bhatinda were badly injured. Pratap Singh further said that with the help of CCTV cameras installed in the golden temple, the attacker and an accomplice were caught and handed over to the police. He said, "Now it is the responsibility of the police to investigate and identify the attackers. Was the attack part of a well-planned conspiracy?"

Accused caught with accomplice

Pratap Singh has demanded strict action against the accused. police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the person who attacked the devotees has been identified as Zulfan. Zulfan is a resident of Yamunanagar in Haryana. He said that Zulfan had left home three days ago. The police have registered a case under various sections of the BNS. The commissioner said that further investigation is going on.
