How much GST has ayodhya ram Mandir Trust given?

The Shri ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, formed for the construction and management of ram temple in ayodhya, has given tax of about Rs 400 crore to the government in the last five years. Giving this information, the secretary of the trust Champat Rai said that this amount has been given between 5 february 2020 and 5 february 2025.

How much GST was given only?

Out of Rs 400 crore, Rs 270 crore has been given as Goods and services Tax (GST) and the remaining Rs 130 crore has been given under other tax categories. This 130 crore includes things like TDS, Labor Cess, ESI, Insurance.

Increasing religious tourism in Ayodhya

Since the construction of ram temple in ayodhya, the city has become a major religious tourist destination. Last year, more than 16 crore tourists came to ayodhya, out of which 5 crore people visited ram temple. This increasing religious tourism has also increased employment opportunities for the local people. During the maha Kumbh, 1.26 crore devotees also visited Ayodhya.

Financial status and audit of the trust

The financial records of Shri ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust are regularly audited by officials of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). This audit ensures that the financial transactions of the trust remain transparent and systematic.

Donation on tax deduction

Individuals donating for the ram temple can get the benefit of tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. This deduction is available only to those individuals who opt for the old tax system. Up to 50 percent of the donated amount can be availed as deduction, but this deduction cannot exceed 10 percent of the adjusted gross total income of the donor.
