A fast track court in Badaun district on monday fixed May 28 as the next date of hearing in the Neelkanth Mahadev temple vs Shamsi Jama Masjid case. Giving the reason for this, newly appointed judge Pushpendra Chaudhary said that he will review the case file before further action.

Judge Chaudhary, who recently took charge of the fast-track court, heard both the parties and fixed May 28 as the date for the next hearing. He said that since he has not yet reviewed the documents of the case, he needs time to look at the file before making any debate or decision. Advocate Ved Prakash Sahu, representing the Hindu side, said that after examining the file, the judge will decide whether the debate should be resumed or carried forward from the end of the previous debate.

Due to the absence of the advocate of the Intezamia Committee side despite repeated summons by the court on several previous dates, the then judge of the fast track court, amit Kumar, gave the Muslim side a last chance and fixed the date of 11 February, but due to the strike of the advocates, the hearing of the case was postponed again. After this, Judge amit Kumar gave the date of 10 march, but due to his own leave on 10 march, the date of 20 march was fixed.

What did the advocate of the Hindu side say?

The advocate of the Hindu side, Ved Prakash Sahu, told that the advocate of Shamsi Jama Masjid Intezamia Committee, Anwar Alam, appeared in the court on 20 march and submitted an application, in which it was said that under the order of the supreme court, the lower court cannot take any decision in such cases.

After this, the Additional Civil Judge, Senior Division fixed the date of 2 April. But Additional Civil Judge Senior Division/Fast Track court Judge amit Kumar was transferred to bhadohi district and as no new judge took charge, the date of 21 april was fixed in this case. Plaintiff and advocate of the case Arvind Parmar said that Additional Civil Judge Senior Division/New Judge of Fast Track court Pushpendra Chaudhary has fixed the date of 28 May today in the presence of both the parties.
