Wimbledon Tennis: Sabalenka in 3rd round: Belarus's Arina Sabalenka, the second seed, advanced to the 3rd round of the Wimbledon tennis series. In the men's category, Daniel Medvedev and Holkar Roon also entered the 3rd round.

The famous Wimbledon tennis series of Grand Slam tournaments is held in London. In the men's singles 2nd round match yesterday, 3rd seeded Daniil Medvedev of russia beat 35th seeded Adrien Mannarino of france 6-3, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5). Denmark's Holger Roone, the sixth seed, advanced to the third round after defeating Spain's Roberto Carballes 6-3, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4.


In the second round of women's singles, 2nd seed Aryna Sabalenka of belarus played against 41st seed Varvara Kracheva of France. Sabalenka won the match 2-6, 7-5, 6-2 and advanced to the 3rd round in one hour and 58 minutes. 9th seed Petra Vitova of the czech republic defeated 69th seed Aliaksandra Chasnovich of belarus in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 to enter the third round.

Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine, the 36th seed, takes on 35th seed Paula Padosa of Spain. Marta Kostyuk was leading 6-2, 1-0 when Padosa withdrew due to injury. Marta Kostyuk advanced to the 3rd round. USA's Madison Keys and Russia's Katerina Alexandrova also entered the 3rd round.


The decisive set started with an early break in favor of Sabalenka, which shifted the momentum in her favor.

She improved her returns and used her powerful backhand to find the corners of the court. Sabalenka secured another break after Gracheva's double fault and finished the match with an ace down the middle.

Sabalenka's victory sets up a third-round encounter with Russian player Anna Blinkova as she continues her journey at Wimbledon.
