Ben stokes is expected to be released by the chennai Super Kings, the reigning indian Premier League winners, who acquired the player for an incredible 16.25 crores at the auction last year. The english all-rounder and Test captain was very popular last year, although his time at CSK was limited by injuries. With november 26 being the deadline for releasing the list of players who have been retained, it appears that CSK is organizing their upcoming season without the english star at the top of their priority list.
In his meager 15 runs at bat and 18 runs conceded in his one over of bowling in the 2023 IPL, ben stokes made just two appearances.
