TATA extends IPL Title sponsorship deal till 2028..!?

Earlier, it was said that the new season of IPL will start at the end of March, while the Women's Premier League may start at the end of February. Parliamentary elections are also going to be held in various phases across india this year. In such a situation, bcci wants IPL matches not to conflict with election dates. Due to this, the bcci said that the IPL schedule will be released after the announcement of the parliamentary election date. When the parliamentary elections were held in 2019, all the IPL matches were held only in India. The board seems to want the same this time too.In this case, bcci has completed the sponsorship deal for the IPL series. Earlier, Vivo was awarded the IPL title sponsorship deal in 2018. The contract was awarded for five years for around Rs 2,199 crore. While the deal was due to expire in 2022, the bcci has not continued the deal since then due to political issues between india and China. As a result, Tata was signed as the title sponsor last season. Tata Company offered to pay Rs 365 crore per year. At this stage the title sponsorship tender for the next 5 years was called for in the last week of December. An announcement was made that the companies who want to apply for this can apply with an advance amount of Rs.5 lakh. Aditya Birla Group also participated in this. There were reports that the company is going to pay Rs 2500 crore for the title sponsorship.
As a result, the IPL management team held talks with Tata. Based on that Tata also agreed to Rs.2500 crore for 5 years, and finally, Tata once again won the IPL title sponsor. With this, the IPL management has signed an agreement with Tata for Rs 500 crore per year.
