IND vs SL: Former Pak legend raises questions…?

virat kohli returned to the indian team after resting for a month after the t20 world cup 2024. He made a comeback in the indian team from the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. However, with the return of virat kohli, there are no signs of his return to form. Questions are being raised on this. Virat is scoring less runs. Also, he has to struggle a lot against spin. After which Pakistan's legendary player Basit ali has made a sharp comment on his form.

Basit Ali's sharp comment on Virat Kohli

kohli scored 24 and 14 runs in the first two ODIs. Both times he was out LBW off the ball of spin bowlers. Basit ali believes that kohli was not fully prepared for this series. He said, "A great batsman like virat kohli, the world's number one batsman, got out LBW twice in a row. If this had happened with Iyer or Dubey, it would have been understandable, but it is surprising that this happened with Virat Kohli. It means that he is not in practice."

Basit ali raised questions on Iyer and Rahul

Basit ali also raised questions on shreyas iyer and KL rahul, who did not play the t20 series and it also seemed that they have entered the ODI without enough practice. He said, "It did not seem that this is the same batting lineup that rules the world. I think shreyas iyer and KL rahul have probably come without practice."

Basit ali said - 'Pant and Parag should get a chance in place of Iyer'

Basit ali also targeted Shreyas Iyer's continuous poor form and said that rishabh pant or Riyan Parag should get a chance in his place. He said, "I don't understand what shreyas iyer will do with such performance. I think the time has come to give a chance to rishabh pant, Riyan Parag and Rinku Singh."
