Saina Nehwal didn't know about javelin until Neeraj Chopra won the Olympics.

On X , users called saina nehwal the "Kangana Ranaut of sports India" in response to her comment on the punishment meted out to Saina Nehwal. He didn't know about javelin as a sport until Neeraj Chopra won gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Nehwal, a world number one badminton player, is a padma shri and Padma bhushan recipient. He joined the bharatiya janata party (BJP) in 2020 ahead of the delhi elections.
