Vinesh Phogat competed in the freestyle 50kg category at the 2024 paris Olympics.
She became the first indian woman wrestler to qualify for the final. According to the post, Vinesh Phogat received a gold medal and a cash prize of Rs 16.30 crore, including Rs 2 crore from the international Jat community and a stipend from haryana Chambers of Commerce and punjab Jat Associations.

Vinesh Phogat's husband Somveera rathi has denied the post.  "Vinesh Phogat has not received money from anyone, no organisation has given her any monetary assistance or prize money. No one, including industrialists and companies, has given any stipend to Vinesh Phogat. Also, no one should spread any misinformation in this regard. It will not only affect us, it will also affect the entire social values."
