The last time india toured england was in 2021 when they played Test cricket. india led the five-match Test series 2-1 with four matches played. The last match was postponed. The tournament was held in 2022. england won the match and the series was levelled at 2-2.
After this, the Test series between india and england was held in india from january to March. india won the series 4-1.
