Rohit Sharma Starts Preparation For bangladesh Series,

Indian cricketers are currently on a month-long break but will resume action next month with a two-match Test series against bangladesh, starting september 19 in Chennai. The first Test will be held at MA chidambaram Stadium, while the second Test will take place at Green Park Stadium in kanpur from september 27.

Following these matches, india will host new zealand for a three-match Test series before traveling to australia in november for a five-match Test series against Pat Cummins' team.

In preparation for the upcoming Test season, indian captain rohit sharma has begun his training. The 37-year-old right-handed batsman, who led india to victory in the t20 world cup 2024 in June, was recently seen engaging in intense cardio workouts with assistant coach abhishek Nayar. Nayar, who joined the indian support staff last month after gautam gambhir was appointed head coach, is supervising Rohit’s training sessions, which have been widely shared on social media.

Rohit last played a red-ball match for india in march 2024 against England, where he scored a century in the first innings. His performance will be crucial in the upcoming Test series as india aims to secure victories and qualify for the World Test championship (WTC) final for the third consecutive season.

Despite a mixed IPL 2024 season with the mumbai Indians, Rohit excelled in the t20 world cup 2024, leading india to their first ICC title in 11 years. He continued his strong form in the three-match ODI series against sri lanka earlier this month, where he was the top scorer in all three games. However, india failed to win any of those matches, resulting in a rare defeat in a bilateral ODI series against sri lanka, their first in 27 years.
