Jay Shah has been elected as the President of the international cricket Council (ICC) and many celebrities and cricketers have congratulated him. Earlier, the current ICC chairman Greg Barclay had said that he would not run for a third term. Also, Jay Shah can get the support of at least 15 of the 16 members of the ICC Committee. It has been widely talked about recently that his chances of becoming ICC president are strong. Jay Shah has been elected unopposed as the President of the international cricket Council (ICC).

Jay Shah is now not only the bcci secretary but also the chairman of the Asian cricket Council and chairman of the ICC Financial and business Affairs Committee. Apart from Jay Shah, he has been elected unopposed for the post of ICC President. If there is more than one candidate, the election will be held on december 1.

Jay Shah is set to become the youngest president of the international cricket Council (ICC). Earlier, Jagmohan Dalmiya, Sharad Pawar, N.Srinivasan, and shashank Manohar were the only four indians to have captained the ICC.

Jay Shah will become the fifth indian to head the ICC cricket Council (ICC).
