PT Usha: indian Olympic Association chief PT usha issued notice to the treasurer, and asked them to respond by september 24


The complainant has alleged that Yadav and some other officials continue to hold their posts, which is a violation of the age and tenure limit rules under the sports Code. Under the sports Code, one has to leave the post after serving in various posts for 12 consecutive years. Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President PT usha has issued a show cause notice to Treasurer Sahdev Yadav. usha has taken this step after receiving a complaint of a violation of the National sports Code by Yadav's election. In a letter written on the 10th, usha has asked Yadav to respond by september 24. A copy of the letter has also been sent to Union sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Jerome Poivie, Assistant Director, NOC (National Olympic Committee) Relations Department of the international Olympic Committee (IOC).

In a letter to Yadav, usha wrote, I am writing to you to draw your attention to a formal complaint related to your eligibility to contest the post of treasurer in the last election and recently received by the indian Olympic Association. The complainant has cited a decision of the High Court, which according to the complainant raises concerns about your eligibility to contest the election.


What is the matter?


The complainant has alleged that Yadav and some other officials continue to hold their posts, which is a violation of the age and tenure limit rules under the sports Code. Under the sports Code, one has to leave the post after serving continuously for 12 years on various posts. Yadav was earlier the secretary of the indian Weightlifting Federation and was associated with it for 15 years. The complainant has also raised similar concerns against other members of the IOA, including indian National Rifle Association Vice President ajay Patel, indian Wushu Federation bhupinder singh Bajwa, and indian Rowing Federation President Rajlaxmi Singh Dev, for not following the sports Code. Demand for removal from IOC's executive committee


The IOA has kept the identity of the complainant confidential. The complainant has demanded immediate removal of these people from the IOA's executive committee. After this, the ongoing tussle in the IOA has intensified.
