Yuvraj Singh Picks Only One indian Cricketer in His Top Three XI Choices

In a recent interview with Sportskeeda, former indian all-rounder yuvraj singh made waves by selecting just one indian cricketer—Jasprit Bumrah—in his list of the top three players for an ideal XI. Notably absent from his choices were batting icons Virat Kohli, indian captain Rohit Sharma, and the legendary MS Dhoni.

Yuvraj's selections were chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, and Jasprit Bumrah. bumrah, who debuted for india in january 2016 against australia, has become one of the premier fast bowlers in the world. He was instrumental in India's t20 world cup 2024 victory. Yuvraj, who has shared the field with bumrah in various formats and IPL seasons, including a stint with the mumbai Indians in 2019, has praised him highly.

Yuvraj also spoke about his favorite IPL team, naming delhi Capitals. The Delhi-based franchise is currently seeking a new head coach following the departure of Ricky Ponting in July 2024. Ponting, who led australia to two ODI world cup victories, was with delhi Capitals from 2018 to 2024, but the team only reached the IPL final once under his leadership and has struggled in recent seasons.

Yuvraj, who played for delhi Capitals in the 2015 IPL season after being acquired for Rs 16 crore, is rumored to be a candidate for the head coach position.
