Hasan Mahmud Shines, Claims kohli, Rohit, and Gill in First Test

Bangladesh fast bowler Hasan Mahmud made a significant impact in the first Test against India, taking out key batters Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and virat kohli in quick succession on thursday in Chennai.

Playing under overcast conditions, bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto chose to bowl first, and Hasan quickly justified this decision. He troubled India’s top order, as Rohit and yashasvi jaiswal began cautiously at the MA chidambaram Stadium. Hasan nearly dismissed Rohit earlier but was denied by the umpire’s call. However, it wasn't long before he had Rohit caught in the slips for just six runs.

Next, Gill fell to a poor shot, attempting a flick that resulted in an edge, leading to his dismissal for a seven-ball duck, caught by wicketkeeper Litton Das. kohli also couldn't last long, departing for six runs, making him Hasan’s third victim of the innings.
