Shakib Al Hasan took the help of amulet for better batting?
The first Test match between india and bangladesh has started on 19 September. In which bangladesh is seen struggling completely. During this, Bangladesh's experienced all-rounder and former captain Shakib Al Hasan did something unique while batting, which caught everyone's attention. Shakib was seen pressing a black bandage like amulet on his mouth while batting, which started a discussion on social media. Both cricket lovers and experts are eager to know the reason behind this unique technique.
Aakash Chopra told the real reason behind this technique
Former indian opener and current commentator Aakash Chopra has told the real reason behind this technique. Aakash Chopra said that Shakib is using this bandage to correct his balance and head position in batting. According to Chopra, Shakib often tilts his head towards mid-on while in his stance, due to which his front leg also rotates in the same direction. This affects his ability to play shots.
Aakash Chopra further said that Shakib has used this black bandage to keep his head and front leg straight. When Shakib bends his head inwards, this bandage gets pulled, which makes him realize that his head is not in the right place. This bandage helps him keep his head closer to the right shoulder, which also improves his footwork and he is able to play straight shots.
Shakib's technique is inspired by rahul Dravid
Aakash Chopra told that Shakib has adopted this technique inspired by former indian cricket team captain and great batsman rahul Dravid. Dravid also made it a habit to keep his head near the left shoulder during his batting, so that his front leg remains straight and his footwork remains strong. Shakib has followed the same principle and has taken the help of this black strip instead of any amulet.
