Vinesh Phogat in big trouble amid campaign…?

Former indian women wrestler Vinesh Phogat is currently busy preparing for the haryana Legislative assembly Election 2024. Vinesh had announced her retirement from wrestling after the paris Olympics 2024. After retirement, she joined the congress party and started preparing to contest the elections. Amidst these preparations, Vinesh was issued a notice by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) on wednesday (September 25). Vinesh has been asked to respond to the notice within 14 days.

You must be wondering that Vinesh Phogat has quit wrestling, then what is the need for her to give a dope test? So let us tell you that all the athletes registered with NADA's Registered Testing Pool (RTP) are required to give details of their presence for the dope test. Vinesh is also a part of this pool.

If the athlete is not present at the place mentioned in the details given for the doping test, it is considered a failure to give information about whereabouts. On september 9, Vinesh was not present for the dope test at her home in Kharoda village of Sonipat.

The NADA notice said, "You are served a formal notice to inform about the clear failure to comply with the requirements related to the location of the stay under the anti-doping rules. You are invited to explain the same before a final decision is taken on the matter." It further said, "A dope control officer was sent to that place at that time to examine you. However, the officer was unsuccessful in finding you for the test as you were not present there."
