Dwayne Bravo announced retirement in middle…?

West Indies' legendary all-rounder dwayne bravo announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. He decided to retire in the middle of the Caribbean Premier League. Bravo was a big name in the indian Premier League. He played for three teams in the tournament, including mumbai Indians and chennai Super Kings. Apart from this, Bravo played one season for gujarat Lions. Bravo, who played all three formats for west indies, was away from international cricket for a long time. He played his last match for west indies in november 2021 in the form of T20. After this, Bravo has been seen playing mostly t20 leagues. Bravo last played in IPL 2022. However, after IPL, he participated in many leagues.

Bravo was playing for Trinbago Knight Riders in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League these days. He decided to retire in the middle of this tournament. In a post on social media, Bravo wrote, "Dear Cricket, Today is the day I say goodbye to the game that gave me everything. From the age of five, I knew this is what I wanted to do - this is the game I was destined to play. I had no interest in anything else and I dedicated my entire life to you. In return, you gave me the life I dreamed of for myself and my family. I can't thank you enough for this." The body can't go any further

He further wrote, "21 years of being a professional cricketer - it's been an amazing journey, with many ups and some downs. Most importantly, I lived my dream because I gave you 100 percent every step of the way. I would love to continue this relationship, but now it's time to face reality. My mind wants to move on, but my body can't take any more pain, wear and tear and stress. I can't put myself in a situation where I disappoint my teammates, fans or the teams I represent."

Bravo played 40 Tests, 164 ODIs and 91 t20 Internationals in his international career. In Tests, he scored 2200 runs and took 86 wickets. Apart from this, he scored 2968 runs and took 199 wickets in ODIs. In the remaining t20 Internationals, Bravo scored 1255 runs and took 78 wickets.
