 Yusuf Pathan was born in Baroda, gujarat on 17th november 1982 in a Pathan family. Pathan, who loved cricket since childhood, achieved many records from Gully cricket to international Cricket. He made his international cricket debut in 2007 and scored 810 runs in 57 ODIs and 232 runs in 22 T20Is. Especially after 2012, Yusuf Pathan, who scored two centuries and five half-centuries in ODIs, again got a place in the team of India. He made his IPL debut for rajasthan Royals in 2008 and scored 435 runs. Moreover, it can be said that he played a key role in rajasthan winning the title that year by taking eight wickets. After this, he represented kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and pune Warriors for many seasons and showed good talent. He last played in the IPL in 2018. Later he retired from international cricket in 2021.

 Yusuf Patan entered politics in 2024. He contested as Trinamul congress candidate from Baharampur lok sabha constituency in West Bengal. Yusuf Pathan won the election by a landslide. He secured a total of 5,24,516 votes defeating his nearest rival Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary.
