This cutting-edge facility, inspired by bcci Secretary Jay Shah's vision, aims to nurture cricket talent and enhance sports science in India.
Facility Highlights
Size and Structure: Spanning over 40 acres, the Centre includes three cricket grounds and 86 pitches, featuring both indoor and outdoor training areas.
Cricket Grounds:
- Main Ground (Ground A): An 85-yard boundary with 13 mumbai red soil pitches, equipped with advanced floodlighting for night matches and broadcasting capabilities.
- Practice Grounds (Grounds B and C): Dedicated practice facilities with 75-yard boundaries, featuring pitches made from Mandya soil and Kalahandi black cotton soil. An innovative drainage system ensures quick recovery after rain.
Training Resources
- Outdoor Nets: 45 outdoor net pitches organized into clusters, using different soil types and separated by safety nets sourced from the UK.
- Indoor Practice Facility: Eight premium turf pitches from the UK and Australia, designed with large glass panels for natural light, alongside integrated cameras for performance analysis.
Amenities
- South Pavilion: A G+2 structure with one of the largest dressing rooms, featuring a jacuzzi, lounge, massage room, and a Hall of Fame celebrating India’s cricketing history.
- Sports Science & Medicine Block: Encompassing a 16,000-square-foot gym with high-quality equipment, a physiotherapy rehab gym, recovery areas, and an 80-seater meeting room.
