In a conversation with ESPN Cricinfo, a senior BCA official said that an attempt was being made to tarnish the image of bihar cricket by misusing the old order of patna High court (5 august 2024).

The senior official said, "For the last few days, attempts were being made to tarnish bihar cricket. It does not happen that a person declares himself the secretary of an association which is under the BCCI. Not only this, he also decides his own salary as per his wish and forms a selection committee and announces the team. The names of those players who were part of the BCA practice camp should also be included in that list." The players whose names were included in the list of bihar cricket team released on Monday. All of them have told BCA through mail that they have no contact with former BCA secretary amit and neither were they part of the camp which was being run under the leadership of Amit. ESPNcricinfo has a copy of the emails sent by the players to the BCA. ESPNcricinfo also spoke to Zeeshan, who was the chairman of the selection committee that picked the bihar Ranji team on Monday.
