From december 1, the international cricket Council (ICC) has got a new chairman in the form of Jay Shah. Earlier, Greg Barclay was present in this post. After taking over the post of chairman, Jay Shah made five tweets one after the other. In which he talked about the new responsibility, mentioned the changing era of cricket, talked about taking cricket to the whole world, talked about the importance of Test cricket and talked about taking the ICC to new heights.

Jay Shah shared his priorities and vision by tweeting five times in a row on X. In the first tweet, he told about his feelings. Jay Shah said, "It is a matter of pride for me to take over the post of ICC Chair today. cricket is a sport that connects millions of people around the world, and this is a moment of great responsibility and opportunity for me." In the second tweet, jai Shah referred to the changing phase of cricket and said, "Cricket is entering a phase of change, and I am committed to working closely with the ICC team and member countries to expand the game globally and open new avenues for its development."

In the third tweet, jai Shah emphasized on efforts to make cricket more popular. He said, "My vision is to make cricket reach as many people as possible, from grassroots initiatives to big events, and develop it in such a way that it meets the expectations of fans around the world."

In the fourth tweet, jai Shah talked about the importance of Test cricket and said, "Test cricket is the pinnacle of the game, and I am committed to maintaining its reputation, as well as working towards making it even more attractive to the fans. Similarly, women's cricket will be an important part of our development strategy, taking the game to new dimensions."
