Haryana's fencer Akhir won the gold medal in the girls' category of the saber individual event on the second day of the 32nd National junior Fencing Championship, while Sarika had to be content with the silver medal. Ritu Prajapati of gujarat and Laishram Abi of Manipur won the bronze medal. At the same time, in the boys' category of EP individual event, Baliram Joshi of punjab won the gold medal, lokesh Bemani of telangana won the silver medal, Gaurav of haryana and Shaurya ashwini of punjab won the bronze medal. In the foil individual girls category of fencing, Dipanshi of chhattisgarh won the gold medal, Prachi of haryana won the silver medal, Takhelambam Mangelibi of Manipur, and Ashita S Joyce of tamil Nadu won the bronze medal.
On the second day of this tournament, Bihar's sports minister Surendra Mehta, Minority Welfare minister Jama Khan, and bihar State sports Authority's Director-General cum Chief Executive Officer Ravindran shankar met the players and encouraged them. During this, sports Authority's director Ravindranath Choudhary and indian Fencing Association's Vice President Ramashankar prasad were present.
