The full schedule of Champions Trophy 2025 has been released. A total of 15 matches of the tournament will be played in four cities. Out of these, three cities are from Pakistan. While one venue has been made in dubai of UAE. It is not yet decided where the final of the tournament will be played. But if the indian team does not reach the final then it will be held in Lahore. There is a big reason behind this.
Actually Champions Trophy 2025 is being organized with a hybrid model. Team india will play all its matches in Dubai. While all the other teams along with pakistan will play in Lahore, Rawalpindi or Karachi. If the indian team reaches the final then this match will be held in Dubai. But if it does not reach the final then this match will be played in Lahore. The first match of the tournament will be played in Karachi on 19 February.
Hybrid model decided after fulfilling Pakistan's insistence -
Team india was not ready to go to pakistan for the tournament. It cited security reasons. But pakistan Cricket was also not ready for the hybrid model. It had laid down some conditions to accept this model. One of the conditions was that the hybrid model should also be implemented for ICC tournaments to be held in India. ICC accepted its condition and then the hybrid model was announced.
This rule has come regarding the Champions Trophy -
ICC has set a rule to resolve the matter of india and Pakistan. Both these teams will not play in each other's country till 2027. Now the teams of india and pakistan are not going to each other's country for the time being. So if Team india reaches the final, it will be played in Dubai. If it does not reach the final, it will be played in Lahore.
