Himachal: Paras Pundir selected for national volleyball competition, two players from Kullu will show their strength in Judo


Paras Pundir, a resident of Bhaanat of Rajgarh development block of Sirmaur district, has been selected for the national volleyball competition.


Paras Pundir, a resident of Bhaanat of Rajgarh development block of Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh, has been selected for the national volleyball competition. This competition will be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan from 7 to 13 January. The state team has left for Jaipur. Paras Pundir will represent the state team in Jaipur. Paras is currently receiving training at Una sports Hostel. Paras credited his selection to his guru and father Randeep Thakur and his coach Tapan Thakur at the hostel. Former national players Bhupendra Thakur, Randeep Thakur, Aman Thakur, and district Association President prithvi Raj said that they have congratulated Paras.

The National Sub junior Cadet Judo Competition will be held in Pune, Maharashtra. In the competition, two players from Kullu will show their strength in the women's and men's categories. Ashvin Thakur has been selected in the 44 kg women's weight category and Hrithik in the 40 kg men's weight category. Kullu Judo Association chief Ranveer Thakur said that recently trials were held in shimla for the National Sub junior Cadet Judo Competition. Two players Ashvin Thakur and Hrithik have been selected in these.


Both the teams of Himachal left for Haridwar in uttarakhand on monday to participate in the 50th junior National Kabaddi Competition. Association's state general secretary krishna Lal and media in-charge BL Dharmani said that these teams will lead the state in the competition to be held in Haridwar from 8 to 11 January. Shagun will be the captain of the girls' team. Jaspreet, Savita, Vandana, Muskan, Nisha, Nikita, Rhythm, Diya, Anshu, Tanvi, and Sakshi are included in the team. Saurabh will be the captain of the boys' team. Desraj, Anku, Palwinder, Prabal, Shiva, Prabal Chauhan, Shakti, Vansh, Kunal, Danish, Neeraj and Ronit are in the team.
