Bhaichung Bhutia: Former indian footballer Bhutia raised the demand for change in the education system, saying- sports should be given priority
Bhutia said- I believe that in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, such an education system should be created which promotes sports policies.
Former indian football team captain Baichung Bhutia has demanded a change in the country's education system. He believes that it is necessary to create a sports-oriented curriculum to prepare world champions in the future. At the Developed india youth Leadership Dialogue and National youth Festival, Bhutia expressed concern that sports have not been given enough priority in the current education policies of the country, due to which world-class players are not being produced.
Speaking to news agency PTI, Bhutia said- I believe that in collaboration with the Ministry of education, such an education system should be created that promotes sports policies. Every child is asked to become a doctor, or engineer and do well in studies, but a system should be made conducive to sports so that more world champions can emerge from the country.
Sports minister Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated the festival. During this, Bhutia said, the sports minister and the education minister should discuss this together and ensure that sports are one of the main subjects of the curriculum. The government of india, led by prime minister Narendra Modi, has taken this good initiative for developed India and it was good to talk about how sports can take the country forward.
