New batting coach for the indian team..!!?

In recent series, both domestically and internationally, the indian cricket team has faced challenges in batting. This has led to criticism of the coaches, especially after the poor batting performance in australia and the series defeat against New Zealand. The bcci is considering making changes to the coaching staff. In this situation, discussions are underway to appoint a new batting coach for the indian team, with players like Kevin Pietersen showing interest in working as a batting coach. In this situation, Sidhant Kotak, who has experience in domestic cricket and has left behind big players, is set to be appointed as the batting coach for India.
The official said, "Most of our batsmen, including the seniors, have been struggling badly in the last two series. From a batting perspective, there is a need to strengthen the support staff of the indian men's cricket team." Earlier, abhishek Nair and assistant coach Ryan ten Dochte were criticized for their role within the team. The bcci is likely to make an official announcement soon regarding any changes. The focus is on improving the support staff to improve batting performance. Sitanshu Kotak has a strong background in domestic cricket. He has played 130 first-class matches and 89 List-A matches, averaging over 40 in both formats.

He also led the Saurashtra team in his playing career. Despite not playing for india, his domestic achievements are notable. Kotak started his coaching journey with Saurashtra and later worked as a batting coach at the National cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. He has also served as the head coach of the india A team and coached against ireland in 2023. Additionally, he was the assistant coach of gujarat Lions in 2017. By considering Kotak, the bcci is showing their desire to solve the batting problems. They want to appoint experienced people in key positions. His extensive experience as a player and coach makes him a strong candidate to improve India's batting line-up. The first step is for Kotak to work as a batting coach for the t20 and ODI series against England. In this, it seems that Kotak will be appointed as a full-time batting coach after seeing how his performance is. He is very close to Dravid and Wattshuman. Thus, these are seen as changes made to the team before VVS Laxman took over as head coach. It remains to be seen whether Kotak's experience will help India.
