Union sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya expressed confidence that india will improve its gold medal tally at the Special olympics World Winter Games to be held in Turin, Italy from March 7 to 17. Athletes will participate in six events - alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, floorball, short-speed skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. India is sending a 49-member team for the Special olympics Winter Games which was last organized in austria in 2017 in which the country won 73 medals including 37 gold.
