Well, we know most of the movies face several cuts and blurs in the censor certification. But these days due to the increasing rate of corona virus, theaters are closed and the makers are releasing their movies on OTT platforms. The central government told the delhi high court already that online platforms such as Netflix and amazon Prime Video are not required to obtain licenses from the government to run their programs. The laws do not allow censorship of content on the increasingly popular online streaming platforms.
Recently, the tamil web series 'God-Man' was banned as it hurts several religious sentiments and it was also against Brahmins. Zee5 platform apologized and it also took down the trailer from the youtube platform. In this case, twitter was trending with the hashtag #censor_web_series and now we bring you few tweets related to it.
