Karthika Deepam is an indian telugu television series that airs on star maa starring premi viswanath and Paritala Nirupam. It is a remake of the malayalam television series Karuthamuthu aired on Asianet. The story revolves around a dark skinned girl who has to fight society and family pressures to lead a happy life. There is no special introduction needed for the serial. The women of the telugu states were connected to the serial in such a way that even it has been airing since 3 years, the people weren’t bored of it. Moreover no other serial in the television industry has got such a rating.

What’s surprising is that even the reality shows like Big Boss too haven’t reached Karthika Deepam in rating. And there were many stalls and hotels established in the name of vantalakka. Recently, in social media, a banner appeared. The flexi  was made by a cable operator Kotari jagan wishing that the Vantalakka and doctor Babu must unite even in the 1001th episode. The flexi is now became viral in the social media and the netizens were commenting that may be he was bored of seeing the serial and might have done this. Anyways, people have become crazy for the serial Karthika Deepam.
