Despite the fact that Obi-Wan Kenobi is set during the Empire's Dark Times, it avoids the pitfalls of The Book of Boba Fett by taking its hero off Tatooine right away. Every episode is primarily set on a different world: Tatooine, Daiyu, Mapuzo, and the Mustafar system's water moon Nur. This method has helped to establish a true sense of narrative momentum, helping to extend the galaxy rather than confining it to a handful of planets that have already been viewed a million times.
There is, however, another important reason for the Obi-Wan Kenobi tv show's success - one that has gone unnoticed by many viewers so far but is becoming more apparent as time goes on. Many viewers may recognise the plot because it incorporates classic elements from the original Star Wars films. In fact, each episode is a parody of a film by George Lucas.
