AC Economy Coach: Railways available to all is a decision taken by the Railways. That is why indian Railways is constantly advancing with new facilities. The new AC Economy coaches introduced by the Railways will be launched soon.

Indian Railways is constantly striving to provide better services to the passengers with new facilities. As part of this, AC Economy is introducing coaches to provide AC travel to the general public as well. Currently, the railways have AC first class, second class and third class categories. Apart from these, Garibrath AC trains and some express trains have AC chair cars. The AC Chair Car, the Department of Railways is making AC travel available to the common man at a lower price than the third class. These are the AC Economy coaches.

More than 50 AC Economy Coaches have already been set up in various coach factories. These are allocated to different zones. These were made with Linke Huffman Bush technology. The interior is made entirely of stainless steel. Facilities in economy coaches are better than the AC coaches currently available. AC Economy coach prices are set at 8 per cent lower than the AC third-class ticket price on trains currently running. That means it costs two and a half times more than a sleeper class ticket. The minimum charge for this coach is Rs 440. The first train of the AC Economy coach will start in the North Central Railway Zone. The coach will be introduced for the first time on the Prayagraj to jaipur train on september 6. It is not yet clear when these coaches will be allotted to the telugu states.
