On monday night, Facebook's whatsapp and instagram processors were rendered inoperable. Users were taken aback and unsure what to do when the applications, which are used by millions of people around the world, abruptly crashed. Users who initially mistook the outage for an internet outage discovered that whatsapp, instagram, and facebook were all down a few hours later.

Facebook explained that the processors were paralysed owing to a technical issue, which caused the users' problems. The apps' functionality returned to normal after around 6 hours of effort.
