The united states first sent a man to the moon on July 20, 1969. neil armstrong and bus Aldrin aboard the Apollo 11 spacecraft was the first to set foot on the moon.


The United States' nasa space centre has since sent a man to the moon several times to test. The humans were not sent after that because it cost too much.


When donald trump was president he announced that man would be sent back to the moon and explored. He also said that the mission to send to the moon will take place in 2024.


For this, a contract was signed with the private space research centre 'Space X'. They decided in the contract to provide Rs 20,000 crore for this.


Bill Nelson, administrator of the nasa Space Center and a former astronaut, has said that the mission to send a man to the moon will be postponed to 2025 due to legal issues.


 Bill Nelson said: -

 NASA plans to set up a space tent in 2024 in orbit around the moon. It was planned that in 2028 the astronauts would stay on the moon for a long time. However, the plan was postponed to 2024 by former President Trump. 

For this, SpaceX was awarded the contract to build the spacecraft. The SLS Orion spacecraft was scheduled to go to the moon in May 2024.

However, the Blue Origin company of its rival jeff bezos has filed a lawsuit against nasa for allocating $ 2.9 billion to Elon Musk's SpaceX. The court dismissed the case last Thursday.

The project has also been postponed due to the Corona epidemic, which has been underfunded during the trump administration.

China's plan to send robots into orbit around the moon is an impetus for the Artemis project above. The united states has participated in space races with russia and China. 

NASA has sent a team of 3 astronauts to the international Space Station after 2020. It also plans to send another astronaut team in the coming weeks.

The Artemis Project is intended as a prelude to making humans inhabit the moon. Moreover, the project will be a precursor to the giant project of sending astronauts to Mars.
