India's first underwater metro will start running!!!
Under water metro is going to start soon in India. This project was earlier scheduled to be completed by december 2021 but due to some accidents during the work of the tunnel, the work got postponed. By june 2023, our country will get its first underwater metro rail. This will be the East-West corridor project of the Metro. The kolkata Metro rail Corporation, working on this, gave information about this on the 8th of August. This metro line will connect Howrah with salt Lake via Kolkata.
This line will be of total 16.55 km. Out of this, work has been done on 9.30 km from Sector v to Sealdah and the rest will be completed by june 2023. With the introduction of this line, people walking on the route will get huge relief. This is because Howrah and Sealdah stations are very busy stations.
