OpenAI launches GPT-4 Turbo model, what is its specialty?


ChatGPT- 4 Turbo: Open AI has launched the ChatGPT- 4 Turbo model which can provide recent information to users. However, it still does not share complete real-time information.

company CEO sam Altman launched a new GPT-4 Turbo model which is more capable and cheaper than the existing GPT-4 model. The new Turbo model supports 1 lakh 28 thousand context windows and can provide information to people as recent as april 2023. That means, if you put any query in it till april 2023, this chatbot will give you the exact answer. At the event, sam said that there are now 100 million weekly active users on the chatbot. Addressing the company's first developer conference, he said that Chat GPT was launched just a year ago and it had achieved 100 million active users within 2 months. It was only after seeing this chatbot that google and other big companies started working on AI.


More than 20 lakh developers are using it

Sam Altman said at the event that his chatbot is being used by more than 2 million developers, including more than 92 percent of Fortune 500 companies. That means even the top 500 American public companies are using this chatbot.


What is the specialty?

GPT-4 Turbo has a 128k context window, so it can handle queries equivalent to over 300 pages of text in a single prompt. The company said it has also improved the performance of GPT-4 Turbo to offer GPT-4 Turbo at 3x cheaper prices for input tokens and 2x cheaper prices for output tokens than GPT-4. That means the cost has been reduced. Because of this, more developers and common people will be able to use the new model. In addition to GPT-4 Turbo, the company is also releasing a new version of GPT-3.5 Turbo that supports 16K context windows by default.


The new version of GPT-4 still integrates image prompts, text-to-speech, and DALL-E 3. DALL-E 3, a feature that was first launched in October. The company says improvements to GPT-4 Turbo mean users can ask the model to perform more complex tasks with a single prompt. The company said users can also tell GPT-4 Turbo to use code in the coding language of their choice, such as XML or JSON, for specific results
