In response to the growing demand for Artificial Intelligence (AI) features in various technological tasks, microsoft has introduced a new AI feature in the Windows Photo app. The update includes a feature called Generative AI, which facilitates the removal of objects from photos without requiring intricate workarounds.

This AI feature, similar to those found in Google's Photos app and Samsung's Gallery, allows users to seamlessly erase unwanted objects from their photos. What sets Microsoft's implementation apart is its compatibility with desktops and laptops, extending the functionality beyond smartphone applications.

Users can leverage this Generative Erase feature by updating the Windows Photo App to the latest version of Windows 11. Once updated, the process is straightforward:

1. Open the desired photo in the Photos app.

2. Look for the new Erase option in the toolbar above the photo.

3. Left-click, hold and drag the mouse over the object to be removed.

4. Choose the brush size and use the auto-apply feature as needed.

5. Click "Erase" after selecting the part for removal.

6. Save the edited photo by clicking the "Save" option and selecting "Save Edited Photo."

This AI-powered feature eliminates the need for external software like Photoshop or Canva, offering users a convenient and efficient tool for photo editing directly within the Windows Photo app. The update caters to the growing trend of integrating AI capabilities into everyday applications to enhance user experience and productivity.
