The number of users of wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital services has increased significantly especially after the Corona lockdown period. According to recent data, the number of users of wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital payment services called UPI (Unified Payment Services), i.e. unified payment interface, is increasing day by day.


According to National Payments Corporation of india (NPCI) data, the number of transactions made through UPI has been increasing every year, increasing by 49 percent to 13.9 billion in june alone, and the value of transactions made through UPI increased by 36 percent to Rs. 20.1 trillion as well. Also, the average number of daily transactions is 463 million and the average value of daily transactions is 66,903 crores.


Praveena Raj, Chief Executive Officer, of National Payments Corporation of india, said that the market capitalization of Rupee credit cards has grown from 1 percent to 10 percent in just 3 years. He also said that 3 to 6 million new users join the UPI service every month.


India's success in UPI service has given a new impetus to various countries around the world. Various countries have also come forward to work with India. UAE-based AI maya Supermarket has announced that it will accept UPI-based payments across the country.


Ajay Kumar Chowdhury, Chairman and Independent Director, of the National Payments Corporation of india, said that the UPI service has now expanded globally and will soon expand to the Middle East.


Chowdhury also said that NPCI has set a target of 1 billion UPI transactions per day in the future.
