iPhone 16 Launch: apple has significantly reduced the prices of the iphone 15 and iphone 14 models following the introduction of the iphone 16 series in india during its 'It’s Glowtime' event in California. This trend of lowering prices on previous iphone models typically follows the launch of new versions each year. Additionally, apple had already cut prices by 3-4% in July across various iphone models due to a reduction in duties on consumer electronics announced in the 2024 indian Budget.

The new prices for the iphone 16 series in india are as follows: the iphone 16 is priced at Rs 79,900, the iphone 16 Plus at Rs 89,900, the iphone 16 Pro starts at Rs 1,19,900, and the iphone 16 Pro Max is available for Rs 1,44,900.

The 128GB model, initially priced at Rs 79,900, is now available for Rs 69,900.
The 256GB variant, which launched at Rs 89,900, is now reduced to Rs 79,900.
The 512GB version, originally at Rs 109,900, now costs Rs 99,900.

Despite the price cuts, the iphone 15 models remain strong performers and will receive software updates until 2028. However, they lack several features of the newer models, such as the action button, improved camera controls, the faster apple A18 chip, increased base storage of 8GB, AI capabilities, vertical camera setup for spatial video capture, longer battery life, faster charging speeds, and new color options.
