Private Resilience spacecraft prep for a massive maneuver on its way to the Moon
The Resilience lunar lander, currently approximately 112,000 kilometers from Earth, is making giant progress on its adventure to the Moon.
As of february 5, 2025, operations engineers at ispace are preparing for the primary crucial maneuver of project 2, which is crucial for the spacecraft's trajectory closer to a lunar flyby scheduled for later this month.

Aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, RESILIENCE has efficiently maintained its fitness and operational status while in orbit.
This task follows the preliminary Hakuto-R mission 1, which confronted demanding situations for the duration of its touchdown attempt in april 2023. The brand new lander functions upgraded software designed to mitigate preceding sensor problems and includes diverse clinical payloads alongside a micro rover named Tenacious, with the intention to conduct surface evaluation upon touchdown.
