Ruckus on social media over Pankaj Pandey's recruitment!

Recently, the result of UP police Recruitment Exam has been announced. As soon as the result was released, many misleading posts started appearing on social media. Meanwhile, on sunday (March 16), UP police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has issued a message on social media, in which clarification has been given on the rumors through the board.

In the message (earlier Twitter) issued by UP police Recruitment and Promotion Board, it is written that misleading comments are being made on social media on the castes of some candidates on the basis of their surname or title. It further reads, "Uttar Pradesh police Recruitment and Promotion Board clarifies in this regard that no candidate is declared successful or unsuccessful on the basis of surname or title."

What did the board say on the appointment?

Giving clarification, the board wrote in a social media post, "Candidates are declared successful or unsuccessful only after verification of caste certificates issued by competent officials. The original caste certificate is properly tested through the DV Board constituted for verification of records (which consists of officers of the level of Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Deputy Superintendent of Police). Candidates are declared successful only after being fully satisfied with the said test."

The UP police Recruitment and Promotion Board has also denied the allegations being made regarding the selection of two candidates. It has been said that "In the mentioned cases, the caste of the candidate named Pankaj Pandey is Gosai as per his issued certificate. Similarly, the caste of candidate Shivani Upadhyay is Jogi. Both castes come under Other Backward Classes."
