Elon Musk's agency took a decision that shook the world!

It has been decided to shut down the US government's foreign aid agency USAID (United States Agency for international Development). The Department of government Efficiency (DOGE) led by Elon Musk has issued an official order in this regard. According to a Reuters report, all employees of the agency will be laid off by september 25.

The organization was 64 years old

USAID was established in the 1960s by the US government to run humanitarian aid programs. About 10,000 employees work in this agency, two-thirds of whom are posted abroad. In february itself, the trump administration started the process of shutting down this agency and merging its functions with the State Department.

Notices started coming

According to sources, USAID's Human Resources Department has informed all regional offices in a conference call that by August, notices will be issued to all more than 10,000 local employees to remove them from their jobs. Along with this, American diplomats and government officials posted abroad will also be recalled.

trump had made serious allegations

President donald trump and Elon Musk had made serious allegations against USAID without any evidence. trump had described it as being run by "radical left lunatics", while Musk had termed it a "criminal organization". The process of shutting down the agency had started after these allegations.

Foreign aid programs will be affected

The closure of USAID will affect many humanitarian aid programs running around the world. The agency has terminated more than 5,200 contracts so far and 900 employees have already been fired. The State Department will now take over some of USAID's functions, but experts believe that it will not be able to completely replace it.
