Apple TV+’s workplace comedy Mythic Quest is coming to a close after four seasons — but not without a unique twist. The series, which follows the behind-the-scenes chaos of a fictional video game studio, aired its original Season 4 finale on march 26. However, fans were recently surprised to learn that a revised version of that finale will be released next week, now officially serving as the series finale.
Rather than ending on an abrupt note, the creative team — Megan Ganz, David Hornsby, and Rob McElhenney — decided to rework the final episode. With Apple’s support, they added a new ending to give the characters, and the fans, a proper send-off. In their statement, the producers said, “With Apple’s blessing we made one final update to our last episode — so we could say goodbye, instead of just game over.”
This move is a rare gift in television — a second chance to say farewell. While cancellations often leave viewers with unresolved stories, Mythic Quest fans will now get the closure they deserve. As the series signs off, it does so not with an abrupt logout, but with a heartfelt goodbye — a fitting end to a show about creativity, chaos, and connection.
