The big IT company Infosys has fired 240 entry level employees. These trainee employees could not pass the internal test. The company gave this information on 18 April. Earlier, the company had laid off more than 300 trainee employees in February. However, Infosys has given these youth an opportunity to learn free skills at NIIT and UpGrad so that they can do something good for the future.
The company estimated low revenue growth
The company took this step in view of the current market situation because due to less orders, the company has estimated revenue growth between 0 to 3 percent for the current financial year. This is indicating a slowdown in the sector. In fact, in big markets like America and Europe, clients are reducing expenses. Due to this, Infosys, a company providing IT services, is getting fewer contracts.
Company sent email to employees
In an email sent to employees on april 18, the company wrote, "Apart from announcing the results of your Final Assessment attempt, you are being informed that you have not met the eligibility criteria in the 'Generic Foundation Training Program' despite additional preparation time, doubt clearing sessions, multiple mock assessments and three attempts. As a result, you will not be able to continue your journey for the trainee program.''
Infosys Sponsored Training Program
The email further read, "To help you in your journey to find opportunities outside Infosys, we are arranging professional outplacement services for you.
