After sharing an image of their latest delicacy, stuffed duck neck, a fancy North london seafood restaurant has raised eyebrows online. On Thursday, chefs at Westerns Laundry in Highbury, which has won rave reviews for its upscale cuisine, surprised instagram users by revealing the £18 creation. A photograph of a duck's head and neck on a platter was accompanied by a description characterizing it as "filled with turnips and lentils."

On a menu that also had mackerel, smoked eel, pollock, and cuttlefish creations, a separate photo indicated the price of the dish. 'No it is too much,' one startled instagram user remarked in response to the photo. Others, on the other hand, were more enthusiastic about the culinary experimentation, with one chef simply commenting, "Yum." The duck entrée was the third most costly on Thursday's menu, with the most pricey being £26 for "duck breast, pommes anna, cabbage, and pork."

At £24, 'pollock, three curled leeks, and mash' was the next most costly option. The restaurant, which opened in 2017, received a great review from well-known critic Jay Rayner in The Guardian, who called it a 'class act' and described it as a'smart, talented kitchen with some seats attached.'
