After attending a conference convened by punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann of the aam aadmi party (AAP) in a posh resort in ludhiana to improve the quality of education, scenes of government school principals and teachers fighting for a plate for a complimentary lunch have gone viral. The conference of over 2,600 school heads and district education officers from around the state was summoned by the education department. The department had planned for 57 air-conditioned buses to convey them.

The meeting was convened, according to education minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, to hear teacher proposals for improving the educational system through policy formulation. The teachers were captured on tape raising a disturbance to grab a plate for lunch after the meeting, in which the chief minister inaugurated an internet platform to gather recommendations for delivering "out-of-the-box" educational innovations. A viral post claims, "These guys are travelling abroad for training, and in the end, these people will smear the reputation of BHARAT."

Another post poked fun at the chief minister for declaring that school principals and teachers will be sent abroad to improve their abilities "Rather than sending them abroad for teacher training, the government first gives them personality skills classes. teachers took a shameless lunch break yesterday after seeing cm Bhagwant Mann." "Looks like they've been hungry for days or didn't want to miss out on a free lunch!" commented another user.
