The biggest death in Jurassic World Dominion is a fantastic homage to the original Jurassic Park film. Dominion brings back key legacy characters from the original Jurassic films, including the film's principal antagonist, to round up the franchise's second trilogy. As the heroes of Dominion struggle to stay alive while working to expose the company Biosyn's corruption, the company's head, Dr. Lewis Dodgson (played by Campbell Scott, a recasting of the original character), meets his demise near the film's conclusion, mirroring a death that occurred 29 years earlier on Isla Nublar.

Dodgson first appeared in 1993's Jurassic Park as a top executive at Biosyn Corporation, InGen's main competitor who is desperate to compete by developing their own dinosaurs. Dodgson offered 1.5 million dollars to one of Jurassic Park's computer programmers, Dennis Nedry, to collect embryos from the island using a fake Barbasol can. However, Nedry was never given the opportunity to be paid in full for his work. Nedry got lost and was attacked by a venom-spitting Dilophosuarus after the carnivore spit venom into his eyes and trapped him inside his jeep to create a distraction for his escape from the island. The gruesome nature of his exact death was left to the audience's imagination after the carnivore spit venom into his eyes and trapped him inside his jeep.

Dodgson is now the CEO of Biosyn, which he founded 29 years ago. Dodgson had Jurassic Park's Dr. Henry Wu construct prehistoric locusts to consume any crops that weren't developed by Biosyn, allowing them to control the food markets, using the company's dinosaur sanctuary to appear charitable. However, their quick reproduction and unexpected longevity endangers the entire world's food supply, prompting the heroes of the film to uncover the corruption. This eventually resulted in the complete evacuation of Biosyn's facilities as well as the dinosaur refuge.
