An argument between two politicians that turned violent on a chat programme in pakistan about politics took an unexpected turn. The event took place on Javed Chaudhary's well-known Pakistani chat programme "Kal Tak," which has now gone viral.
Sher Afzal Marwat, a lawyer associated with Imran Khan's pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and Afnan Ullah, a senator associated with Nawaz Sharif's pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), were the two politicians engaged. When senator Afnan Ullah Khan levelled accusations against PTI leader Imran Khan, accusing him of misbehaviour and secret contacts with the military establishment, the verbal sparring swiftly got out of hand.

Instead of refuting these claims with reasoning, Marwat used physical force to strike Khan in the head in return. Khan's retaliation caused the situation to worsen even worse and a full-fledged fistfight to break out on live air. The host and staff of the show tried to break up the fight, but it went on anyhow, shocking spectators and the country.
Both politicians used social media to explain their behaviour after the event. Marwat used Afnan Ullah's disparaging remarks against PTI leader Imran Khan as justification for his violent retaliation.

Senator Afnan Ullah Khan, on the other hand, declared his support for nonviolence while defending his activities as a supporter of Nawaz Sharif. Despite my belief in non-violence and the fact that I am a Nawaz Sharif soldier, Marwat assaulted me at a talk programme yesterday. All PTI members, but notably Imran Khan, should learn from the trick played on Marwat since it will need them to wear large, dark spectacles in order to perceive the form.
