Amazon customer Claims Receiving Used Tissot watch, Gets Armani in Exchange

An amazon customer's attempt to buy a Rs 31,500 Tissot watch as a birthday gift turned into a nightmare. When the package arrived, the seller provided the watch's serial number to confirm its authenticity, but it turned out that the seller had sent a second watch. Frustrated, the customer filed a complaint with the e-commerce store and asked for a refund. However, the situation worsened when a replacement arrived - an Armani watch instead of a Tissot.

"Fraud by amazon," wrote an X user who goes by the name "Disciplined Investor" on the micro-platform. User X added: "I ordered a Tissot PRX watch from amazon on July 21st. I received the watch on July 28th from the seller Mega Store LLP. I entered the serial number on the Tissot website to check its authenticity. I understand the watch was sold on february 15, 2023.

When user X reported the issue to amazon, customer service transferred the calls to senior staff, and the wait time was long without a resolution. Despite filling out a form detailing the issue, the user received a generic response from the company stating that a representative would get back to you within 6-12 hours, and up to 24-48 hours.
